Avec tout mon cœur (French for With all my heart) is a 2017 French-language Canadian musical drama film that is loosely based on Jacques Offenbach's opera The Tales of Hoffmann. It tells the story of a group of entertainers and workers dealing with ups and downs all while attempting to create a life in the heart of Montreal, under the shadow of unexpected consequences.

Sources and inspirationEdit

Larson's inspiration for the content in Avec tout mon cœur came from several different sources. Many of the characters and plot elements are drawn directly from Jacques Offenbach's opera The Tales of Hoffmann, the world premiere of which was in February 1881, over 136 years before the release of Avec tout mon cœur. Late 19th century European locations are replaced by present day Montreal.
